I am also riding for my adult daughter Jennifer. She has been through her fight with cancer and has it now in remission hopefully. Cancer has claimed the lives of both of my brothers-in-law. I am also riding for a fellow firefighter whose child had this horrible disease,

I am again taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!

This will be my seventh year riding for this charity and so far I have ridden $5,009 km

have raised $51,202.65 for this very worthwhile event.

The Great Cycle Challenge runs from August 1 to August 31

Over 1,400 children are diagnosed with cancer every year, and it's the biggest killer of children from a disease in Canada.

Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support SickKids Foundation to allow them to continue their work in developing treatments and finding a cure for childhood cancer.
